Features:
This type of button, usually called bullet nose (BN) buttons, are
mainly used in quarrying, excavating, water well drilling, and oil
& gas industry. It has been made of fine grain size of raw
material-mixture of tungsten and cobalt powders and 100% virgin
materials. The average grain size is between 1.6 to 2.0 um, with
hardness ranging from 89.5 to 90.5 HRA.
The bullet shape carbide buttons can be divided to ball shape and
parabolic shape. The ball-shaped ones have good compressive
strength and wear resistance properties, and suited to mostly hard
rocks. The parabolic shaped ones are relatively good compressive
strength, usually used in medium hard conditions, but has high
excavation efficiency. The main physical properties are as follows:
